SRT to VTT

Add an SRT file and this page rewrites it as VTT in your browser tab — nothing is uploaded to a server and nothing has to be installed. Only the file representation changes, so check that the VTT result works where the SRT original could not.

أسئلة شائعة حول تحويل Subtitle

Do I need software to turn SRT into VTT?

No. This page runs in the browser tab, so nothing has to be installed to produce the VTT result.

Can I convert more than one file at a time?

Add the files to the list, run the conversion once, and download the results together instead of repeating the upload per file.

Will my original file be changed?

The result is downloaded as a separate file. Keep your original until you have checked the VTT output.

What should I check before using the result?

Open the VTT output in the application that consumes it and spot-check the parts that matter to you; the original file stays untouched if you need to re-run with different options.

Why does the output start with WEBVTT?

WEBVTT is the required marker for a WebVTT text track. The converter adds it when creating the VTT result.

Will subtitle styling be preserved?

Basic cue text and supported timing information are retained. Styling or positioning that only exists in an SRT workflow may need a manual check.
